However, the existing functionalities of Square payment gateway and ShipStation integration presented challenges:

• Square Payment Gateway: Originally, the platform only allowed one Square account configuration for all resellers. This meant all reseller transactions would flow through a single account, making individual tracking and reconciliation difficult.
  
  

• ShipStation Integration: The standard ShipStation integration for Magento wasn’t equipped to handle the multi-reseller structure. It couldn’t support multiple accounts or accommodate virtual stores used by resellers.

Solution:

Customized Square Payment Gateway integration for Magento Reseller Accounts:

We modified the Square payment gateway extension to allow configuration of separate payment gateways for each reseller account. This involved a significant change – a new token generation mechanism based on the reseller’s store code and domain. This ensures each virtual store has its own dedicated Square account, enabling independent transaction processing for each reseller.

Customized ShipStation Integration for Magento:

• Multiple Accounts for Multi-Website Store: We enhanced the ShipStation integration to support multiple accounts, allowing the client to manage each reseller store with a dedicated ShipStation account.

• Virtual Store Functionality: We further customized ShipStation to accommodate the virtual store concept used by resellers. This involved enabling functionality specific to virtual stores.

• Customized Order Fetch Functionality: We adapted the order fetch API to map reseller orders to specific stores in Magento. This crucial customization ensures all reseller orders are associated with the correct Magento store within the same ShipStation account. This allows the admin to manage and ship all orders collectively under a single platform.

Results:

Through these customizations, DesignNBuy empowered the client to achieve:

• Independent Payment Processing for Resellers: Each reseller now has a dedicated Square account, enabling them to track their transactions and manage finances independently.
